Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The palm oil issuer owned by the Bakrie Group, PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Tbk (UNSP), recorded a 10% increase in sales to Rp 2.56 trillion. Meanwhile, the company’s gross profit rose 25% to Rp 757 billion.

Subsequently, operating profit increased 86% to Rp 388 billion, and EBITDA rose 48% to Rp 551 billion in 2025 compared to 2024. Sales were supported by palm oil commodities worth Rp 2.41 trillion and rubber commodities worth Rp 151 billion.

“The company continues to work hard to increase plantation asset productivity, including rejuvenation using superior seedlings, amid rising global CPO (Crude Palm Oil) commodity prices from an average monthly level of USD 1,082 per tonne CIF Rotterdam in 2024 to USD 1,221 in 2025,” said UNSP Director & Investor Relations, Andi W. Setianto, on Wednesday (8/4/2026).

The company also optimised factory productivity by purchasing palm fruit from farmers without factories, while helping improve their welfare.

Currently, national palm oil productivity is only around 3 tonnes of CPO per hectare per year, where with superior seedlings, potential productivity can increase after the replanting programme.

The company’s superior seedlings can produce 10 tonnes of CPO per hectare per year, with 40 tonnes of fresh fruit bunches per hectare per year and 25% CPO extraction, according to field results from the company’s certified superior seedlings. With superior seedlings, plantation land area does not need to increase, yielding multiple times the CPO production, which further boosts biodiesel production for national energy resilience.

UNSP President Director, Bayu Irianto, added that the ongoing sustainable productivity enhancement strategy will have more positive impacts felt in the medium and long term.

“Continuing our focus on increasing plantation and factory productivity, we will proceed with concrete steps to enhance other asset productivity and improve our capital structure. We are optimistic that in the medium and long term, the company will rise again, finding the best momentum to become one of the plantation companies with strong business fundamentals,” he said.
