Bakrie Group Issuer (BNBR) Profits Surge 240%, Here's Why
PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) recorded revenue of Rp1.13 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, an increase of 19.02% or Rp181.38 billion, compared to the same period in the previous year amounting to Rp953.80 billion.
The company also booked EBITDA of Rp296.44 billion, up 252.43% or Rp212.33 billion, from Rp84.11 billion in the same period last year.
In line with this, BNBR achieved a 240.03% increase in operating profit, or an rise of Rp149.62 billion from Rp62.33 billion in the same period last year, reaching Rp211.96 billion in the first quarter of 2026.
“This revenue increase for the Company comes from the contribution of revenue from PT Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways (‘CCT’) amounting to Rp232.76 billion or 20.5% of BNBR’s consolidated total revenue and the PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (‘VKTR’) Group amounting to Rp126.9 billion or 58.2% from the previous year,” said Anindya Novyan Bakrie, President Director & CEO of PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (‘BNBR’), in Jakarta on Friday (1/5/2026).
Similarly, the EBITDA increase comes from CCT’s contribution of Rp126.6 billion or 50.4% of BNBR’s consolidated total EBITDA. The operating profit increase is also supported by CCT’s contribution of Rp128.6 billion or 77% of BNBR’s consolidated total operating profit.
BNBR’s Finance Director Roy Hendrajanto M. Sakti added that in the first quarter of 2026, the PT Bakrie Indo Infrastructure (BIIN) Group showed a revenue increase of 274.6% or Rp207.6 billion, mainly from CCT revenue. The BIIN Group’s revenue increase was also supported by an increase in revenue from PT Helio Synar Energi (Helio) of 35.1% or Rp1.0 billion.
The business unit of PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk. (VKTR) Group recorded a revenue increase of 58.2% or Rp126.9 billion. This revenue increase was supported by an increase in VKTR holding revenue of Rp114.8 billion or 9510.0%. In addition, PT VKTR Sakti Industries (‘VKTS’) recorded a revenue increase of Rp88.0 billion or 854.5%.
“The PT Bakrie Autoparts (BA) Group also recorded a revenue increase of Rp13 billion or 6.3% due to growth in demand for automotive components,” said Roy.
Roy added that several business units experienced a decline in revenue, namely the PT Bakrie Metal Industries (‘BMI’) Group. Nevertheless, in this business unit, it was still offset by an increase in revenue from PT Southeast Asia Pipe Industries (‘SEAPI’) of Rp1.1 billion or 2.6%, which came from sales in the Non-Oil & Gas (OG) sector.
“We are optimistic that in the future there will be a revenue increase in the pipe and EPC sector for oil & gas in line with the upcoming projects that will enter in the first semester of 2026,” he explained.
