Bakrie Group and Pema Global Energi Inaugurate Community Hall for North Aceh Flood Recovery

For the residents of Leubok Pusaka Village, the multipurpose hall inaugurated today is more than just a building. The facility stands as a symbol of hope and revival after flash floods and landslides struck the region late last year, damaging homes, public amenities, and communal and worship spaces. As a concrete action for Indonesia, Bakrie Tanggap, Bakrie Untuk Negeri, the Adinda Bakrie Foundation, and Pema Global Energi inaugurated and handed over the multipurpose hall to the community of Leubok Pusaka on Saturday, 11 July 2026. The provision of this facility is part of efforts to support post-disaster recovery by supplying a public amenity that can be used sustainably by the community. The construction of the hall stemmed from an on-site assessment by the team, which found that a prayer room and various public facilities in the surrounding area had been damaged by the disaster. Based on this need, the parties built a permanent facility that can serve as a communal space for residents to gather, hold meetings, organise village activities, and worship. In addition to the main building, the hall is equipped with sanitation facilities, an ablution area, carpets, mats, a sound system, cupboards, Qur’ans, and Juz Amma, allowing it to be used immediately by the community. The Daily Chairperson of Bakrie Untuk Negeri, Rama Anugrah, stated that post-disaster recovery is not solely focused on physical construction, but also on restoring communal spaces that are an important part of community life. ‘On behalf of the Bakrie Group, we hope this multipurpose hall will provide the greatest possible benefit to all residents of Leubok Pusaka Village. Please take good care of it so that this building can last a long time and continue to be a place for gathering, worship, and carrying out various beneficial activities for the community,’ said Rama. Meanwhile, the Community Development and Government Relation Officer of Pema Global Energi, Jailani Luttan, conveyed that the facility represents a form of care and support for the community as it recovers from the disaster’s impact. ‘We hope that you will kindly accept this facility we hand over today as a token of our affection and concern for the tragedy that occurred late last year. We hope this multipurpose hall can be utilised to its fullest and become a space that brings benefits to the entire community,’ said Jailani.
