Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — PT Bakrie Capital Indonesia acquired 464,516,000 shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) today, Wednesday (15/4/2026). The transaction at a price of Rp 250 raised Bakrie’s ownership from 6% to 6.73%, or 4,287,135,800 shares. Following the purchase, BIPI shares experienced a 1.45% correction by 3:00 PM WIB to 272. However, over the last five days, BIPI shares have risen 15.38%, and year-to-date, they have soared 193.48%. Based on the Monthly Securities Holder Registration Report ending 31 March 2026, the ultimate beneficial owner of BIPI is Halim Jusuf, who controls BIPI through PT Indotambang Perkasa, holding 19.39% of the shares. Additionally, CGS-CIMB Securities is recorded as holding 12.7% of the shares. Recently, the company acquired two companies, PT Indoplas Makmur Lestari and PT Mahareksa Kapital Indonesia, to enter the waste management to energy business or waste-to-energy (WTE). Both companies are part of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA). “The Company’s management believes that this transaction provides strategic value and aligns with the Company’s business development direction,” management stated in a disclosure, quoted Wednesday (15/4/2026). This aligns with the company’s plans announced at the end of last year to start implementing the WTE project in 2026 with a value of US$300 million to US$350 million.
