Bakom supports sports that impact health and economy

The Head of the Government Communication Body (Bakom), Muhammad Qodari, supports the organisation of sporting activities that not only improve public health but also encourage economic growth. Opening the Nusantara Media Fest 2026-Padel in Jakarta on Saturday, Qodari said sport has now developed into a part of lifestyle capable of creating economic activity, including through the increasingly popular trend of padel. “We are certainly also promoting sporting activities that are beneficial for health, while at the same time being able to drive the Indonesian economy,” Qodari said. “There is a place to play, but there is also a café. Hopefully, this synergy between sport and lifestyle can help the Indonesian economy continue to develop and grow,” he stated. On the occasion, Qodari also appreciated the organisation of the Nusantara Media Fest 2026-Padel, which serves as an event to strengthen camaraderie among the media. Qodari also reminded journalists to make time for exercise amidst the busyness of carrying out journalistic duties. In addition, he affirmed that the media is a strategic partner of the Government Communication Body in conveying various government programmes and achievements to the public. “We will continue to work together going forward, between the government and friends in the media,” Qodari said.
