BAIC FOTON eView Connect Officially Launched in Thailand, Strengthening Green Logistics Ecosystem in Southeast Asia

CP FOTON has officially introduced the eView Connect electric van in Bangkok, Thailand. The launch event was attended by executives from CP Group and Foton International, early-stage customers, strategic partners, financing partners, national dealers, and local media. The arrival of the eView Connect represents an important step in BAIC FOTON’s efforts to accelerate the electrification of commercial vehicles in the Southeast Asian region. The Thai government is actively promoting a transition towards environmentally friendly transport. The ‘30@30’ target set by Thailand’s National Electric Vehicle Policy Committee is one of the main drivers behind the development of the country’s electric vehicle industry. Responding to evolving market needs, the eView Connect is equipped with a third-generation liquid-cooled battery from CATL with 2C charging capability. This vehicle is available in two battery capacity options, 50.23 kWh and 66.67 kWh, and supports both AC slow charging and DC fast charging. BAIC FOTON also provides an eight-year or 400,000-kilometre battery warranty. Looking ahead, the company plans to develop a battery swapping variant tailored to customer operational requirements. Beyond the latest electric drive system, the eView Connect is built on a new-generation electric vehicle platform that brings improvements to intelligent features and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) aspects. Through these enhancements, BAIC FOTON is further optimising comfort and the driving experience. During the launch event, CP FOTON handed over the first units of the eView Connect to five local companies operating in the logistics, retail, and vehicle rental sectors. On the same occasion, CP FOTON also signed strategic cooperation memoranda of understanding with Spark EV and Huawei. The collaboration with Spark EV involves a rapidly growing electric vehicle charging network operator in Thailand. Spark EV manages a network of ultra-fast charging stations based on liquid-cooled technology. Its network is connected to major fuel station networks and covers various areas across Thailand with coverage approximately every 50 kilometres. Through this collaboration, CP FOTON and Spark EV will develop charging infrastructure for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. In closer collaboration with Huawei, CP FOTON is strengthening cooperation on developing the electric vehicle ecosystem. Huawei is known as a provider of liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging solutions. These solutions have been widely implemented in various Thai cities, including Bangkok, Pattaya, and Chiang Mai, playing a crucial role in accelerating the electrification of Thailand’s automotive industry. Established in 2019, CP FOTON has built a strong production base and product portfolio in Thailand. The launch of the eView Connect is also part of BAIC FOTON’s internationalisation strategy. By making Thailand a regional business base, CP FOTON aims to strengthen customer service and drive low-carbon logistics growth in the Asia Pacific region.
