Automotive company BAIC aims to expand its dealer network to improve sales and after-sales services for its cars in Indonesia.

According to a company press statement on Thursday, BAIC currently has a total of 16 official dealers supporting vehicle sales across Indonesia.

The company is targeting a presence in 12 locations across Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi by the end of 2026.

“Entering 2026, we are reaffirming this commitment through a more aggressive business strategy, from expanding the dealer network and strengthening our hybrid vehicle portfolio, to entering the fully electric vehicle era with the launch of the BAIC T1,” said Dhani Yahya, Chief Operating Officer of BAIC Indonesia.

PT JIO Distribusi Indonesia (JDI), the brand holder agent for BAIC in Indonesia, has launched the battery electric BAIC T1.

Dhani said the T1 is the first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) model BAIC has marketed in Indonesia.

The BAIC T1 is offered at an official price of Rp393 million, with a special price of Rp373 million for the first 1,000 customers.

According to the company, the electric vehicle features a spacious cabin, connectivity technology and modern safety features.

BAIC is targeting sales of 1,000 vehicles by the end of 2026, including up to 400 cars during the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, to be held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) – BSD City, Tangerang, Banten, from 30 July to 9 August.
