Bahrain Foreign Ministry Condemns Iran Over Drone Attack
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain has strongly condemned a drone attack by Iran on the kingdom’s territory in the early hours of Saturday (27/6/2026). The attack was reportedly carried out in retaliation. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses Bahrain’s strong condemnation of the attack on its territory on Saturday, 27 June, using several Iranian drones,” the ministry said in a statement cited by the official BNA news agency. The Foreign Ministry stated that Iran bears responsibility for “undermining peace initiatives” through the attack. US Central Command (Centcom) on Friday (26/6/2026) confirmed strikes against Iran in response to an alleged attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz the previous day. Following this, the Iranian military launched attacks on several US military facilities in the Middle East. On 28 February 2026, the United States and Israel carried out strikes on several targets in Iran, causing damage and killing civilians. The most severe attack occurred in Tehran.
