Bahrain Foreign Ministry Condemns Iran Over Drone Attack

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the drone attacks by Iran into the kingdom’s territory during the early hours of Saturday (27/06/2026) local time. The Iranian attack was reported as a retaliatory measure.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses Bahrain’s strong condemnation of the attacks on its territory on Saturday, 27 June, in the early hours, using several Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles (drones),” the ministry stated in a release, as quoted by the official BNA news agency.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry stated that Iran is responsible for the “undermining of peace initiatives” through these attacks. US Central Command (Centcom) confirmed on Friday (26/06/2026) that attacks were carried out against Iran in response to an alleged attack on a merchant vessel in the Strait of Hormuz the previous day.

Following this, the Iranian military launched attacks against several US military facilities in the Middle East. On 28 February 2026, the United States and Israel launched strikes against several targets in Iran, resulting in damage and civilian casualties. The most severe attack occurred in Tehran.
