The government, along with Pertamina Patra Niaga, has assured that the distribution of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the Jakarta and surrounding regions is proceeding optimally, both in terms of availability and quality.

This was confirmed through direct inspections at several Bulk LPG Filling Stations (SPBE) and LPG depots in Jakarta and Bekasi by the Director General of Oil and Gas, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Laode Sulaeman, accompanied by the Director of Retail Marketing at Pertamina Patra Niaga, Eko Ricky Susanto.

The first visit took place on Friday (3 April 2026) at the SPBE of PT Sapta Arta Setia in Bekasi, followed by a visit on Saturday (4 April 2026) at the SPBE Pertamina Trading and Services in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

Laode stated that the checks were conducted to ensure that the entire LPG distribution process runs according to standards, from filling to delivery to the public.

In addition to the SPBE, inspections were also carried out at several LPG depots in Bekasi and Jakarta, namely Suwondo Depot, Herman Depot, Sriyatun Depot, Sumaryono Depot, Lusy Vebriana Depot, and Hioe Muk Sien Depot.

During the inspections, officials directly weighed the LPG cylinders to ensure the accuracy of the weight and checked the selling prices at the depot level.

“At the depots, we weighed several cylinders one by one, and all met the weight requirements, as did the prices. This means not only is the stock secure, but the reliability of the distribution is also secure. We have also checked the safety aspects, and, God willing, everything is running smoothly,” said Laode.

He added that safety aspects in the distribution process were a focus of the supervision and, in general, have been running in accordance with regulations.

Meanwhile, Eko added that his side continues to ensure that LPG distribution, especially 3 kg LPG, reaches the public up to the depot level.

“This is part of our efforts to ensure that LPG distribution is evenly spread throughout the regions, especially up to the depots. So, the public does not need to worry; they can obtain 3 kg LPG cylinders at the nearest depot. We are committed to maintaining the availability of 3 kg LPG cylinders not only in Jakarta or Java, but throughout Indonesia,” said Eko.

Eko emphasised that Pertamina Patra Niaga is committed to maintaining LPG availability not only in Jakarta and Java Island, but across all of Indonesia.

Pertamina also urged the public to use LPG wisely and purchase according to their needs to maintain smooth distribution.
