JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The 1.3-tonne sacrificial cow donated by Golkar Party chairman Bahlil Lahadalia is the largest in this year’s Eid al-Adha sacrifice at the Golkar Party’s Central Leadership Council (DPP) office in Slipi, West Jakarta, on Wednesday (27 May 2026).

Eric Hermawan, chairman of the Golkar 2026 Sacrificial Animal Distribution Committee, said a total of 47 cows and four goats were collected for this year’s sacrifice.

“This year, we received 47 cows and four goats. And the chairman’s contribution is quite substantial at 1.3 tonnes,” Eric said during an interview at the Golkar DPP office on Wednesday.

According to Eric, the 1.3-tonne cow was a direct donation from Bahlil to the DPP.

“For the DPP, it’s one. But for other locations, almost all regional DPDs received one cow each from him,” Eric explained.

He added that the sacrificial animals would be distributed to various places, including Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and Golkar Party bases.

Eric noted that the average weight of sacrificial cows collected at the DPP is around one tonne.

In addition to Bahlil’s contribution, the sacrificial animals also came from ministers, deputy ministers, members of parliament, and Golkar Party officials.

Wihaji, acting chairman and deputy chairman of Golkar Party, said Bahlil is currently performing Hajj with his family and several party officials.

“He is performing Hajj with his wife. The secretary-general and treasurer are also on Hajj,” Wihaji said.

Wihaji added that the DPP’s annual sacrificial event is intended to benefit local communities and recipients across various regions.
