Bahlil Sends Off Golkar's Free Homecoming Convoy
Coordinating Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said: “We pray for our brothers and sisters travelling home that they arrive safely at their destinations and are reunited with their families,” during the Golkar Free Homecoming Programme 2026 held at the Golkar Party Central Board Building in West Jakarta on Tuesday.
Bahlil took time to speak with several free homecoming participants and bus drivers to ensure the comfort and safety of travellers. He also symbolically distributed food packages and pocket money to participants in the Golkar Free Homecoming Programme 2026.
On the occasion, Bahlil also offered apologies and asked for prayers that Golkar Party would continue to be directed as a party close to the people. “We from the Golkar Party Central Board family extend Eid Al-Fitr greetings, ask for forgiveness in this life and the hereafter, and with just 2-3 days of fasting remaining, we hope to receive guidance from Allah the Almighty and do not forget to pray for Golkar to be a party that is always close to the people,” he said.
At the same event, Ridwan Bae, Chairman of the Free Homecoming Programme Committee of Golkar Party, stated that the food packages were not only given to free homecoming participants but also to bus drivers and conductors. “In this homecoming we also provide pocket money. This consists of participants, and also drivers and conductors also receive pocket money. Then the food packages we give range from adults to children,” he said.
He also revealed that the Golkar Free Homecoming Programme 2026 would take participants to various regions, including Klaten, Yogyakarta, Madiun, Boyolali, Bantul, Magelang, Cirebon, and Indramayu. “We hope this homecoming journey experiences good progress and of course we pray for them to arrive safely with their families in their respective villages,” Ridwan said.
