Bahlil Seeks Creator of 'My Little Bolu Ketan' Song After Being Called 'Father MBG' by Child

Energy Minister and Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahdalia has spoken out about the viral song about him titled ‘My Little Bolu Ketan’, which has been widely discussed online. Bahlil expressed curiosity and said he wishes to invite the song’s creator for a chat and meal.

The minister’s response was revealed in a video conversation with Presidential Special Envoy for Youth and Arts Raffi Ahmad, uploaded to Raffi Ahmad’s account on Friday (29 May 2026) evening.

During the video, Raffi directly questioned Bahlil’s reaction to the song. Bahlil stated he is curious and wants to meet the creator.

‘I would like to ask for help to invite them if they are willing, to have a conversation and eat together as I am also curious,’ Bahlil said.

Bahlil shared that the song has become a joke among his children. ‘I was waking up early for umrah, and even my child laughed at me, saying “Father MBG”,’ he said.

Raffi added that his son Rafathar often sings the song. Bahlil then asked Raffi to help find the song’s creator.

Bahlil appreciates the song related to him and supports youth creativity.

‘I don’t know who made it, and it’s natural. I’m curious who created it. If possible, Fi (Raffi), can you find them? I really want to meet them, Fi. But I do appreciate the creativity of young people, friends,’ he said.

However, Bahlil advised that creativity should not involve SARA issues. He said this could damage national unity.

‘My only suggestion is that in this democratic era, social media is important but should be used responsibly. For example, avoid SARA issues, as SARA is not allowed because it could undermine our solidarity as fellow citizens. Creativity must be appreciated within a proper framework,’ he said.

Bahlil stressed he accepts all viral content about him, stating public officials must endure all criticism and feedback.

‘Yes, public officials must accept everything,’ he said.
