Bahlil Reveals the Core of Prabowo’s Meeting with SBY and Jokowi

Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto invited a number of former presidents and vice-presidents to the State Palace on Tuesday, 3 March 2026. The meeting was attended by various national figures. Among them were the seventh President of Indonesia Joko Widodo, the sixth President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the tenth and twelfth Vice Presidents Jusuf Kalla, the eleventh Vice President Boediono, and the thirteenth Vice President Ma’ruf Amin. In addition, the meeting involved several heads of state institutions and political figures. Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said Prabowo invited these figures to build strategic communication amid the evolving global dynamic. ‘The President Prabowo invited several national figures. Among them are former Presidents, Mr Jokowi, Mr SBY. Then former Vice Presidents, former Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the Chair of the DPR, the Chair of MPR, and we all have party leaders,’ Bahlil said at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Thursday (5/3/2026). Bahlil explained that the meeting consisted of discussions to build effective communication considering the global political dynamics that could affect Indonesia’s conditions. He said the directives given at the meeting emphasised the importance of maintaining cohesion and unity. ‘Only through unity can we be able to resolve and face all the dynamics that exist, both external and internal,’ he said.
