Bahlil Reports to Prabowo on Fuel Stock: No Problems
Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia met President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday, 12 May 2026. To the President, Bahlil reported on the condition of fuel oil (BBM) stocks in the country. According to Bahlil, the current BBM stocks are in good condition. “I reported to the President regarding our BBM readiness,” he said after meeting Prabowo on Tuesday afternoon. The General Chairman of the Golkar Party claimed that Indonesia’s energy reserves are currently above the national minimum standard. This condition applies to BBM, crude oil, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). “So, insyaallah, there are no problems,” Bahlil stated. In addition to energy reserves, Bahlil also reported efforts to reorganise mining permits that have not been utilised as they should. According to him, some holders of mining business permits (IUP) have complete permits but never operate them. Bahlil said this phenomenon occurs particularly in forest areas. Prabowo, according to Bahlil, instructed his ministry to evaluate those non-compliant IUPs. “I reported on those developments,” said the former investment minister. Before meeting Bahlil, Prabowo also received other ministers at the Presidential Palace today. One of them was the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, Muhaimin Iskandar, who conveyed his work results during the cabinet to Prabowo. “Today I will report all my responsibilities as Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment,” said the General Chairman of the National Awakening Party upon arriving at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday afternoon. Muhaimin conveyed several projects he discussed with the President. Among them are empowerment programmes, poverty alleviation, job creation targets, and increasing productivity of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This former Deputy Chairman of the People’s Representative Council stated that his ministry continues to make various efforts to keep the community economy vibrant. Some of its programmes include establishing 1,001 people’s market points for MSME actors, training subsidies, and promoting accessible financing.
