Bahlil Reports to Prabowo: National Fuel Reserves Above Standard, Secure Ahead of Ramadan
Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia reported to President Prabowo Subianto that national fuel oil reserves are above the minimum threshold set by the government.
The report was presented during a Plenary Cabinet Session at the State Palace on Friday, 13 March 2026.
Bahlil stated that national fuel reserves are adequate, ranging between 21 to 23 days of supply. Several fuel types even exceed the established minimum thresholds.
Petrol (Pertalite) with RON 90 octane rating recorded reserves of 24.39 days, higher than the national minimum threshold of 18.2 days.
“Mr President, we report that this is the current state of our fuel supply,” said Bahlil. “For Petrol with RON 90, which is subsidised petrol, our reserve is 24.39 days, exceeding what was planned as our national minimum threshold.”
Pertamax Turbo with RON 98 has reserve capacity of 31.32 days, compared to the minimum threshold of 22.3 days for this fuel type.
Biosolar with a cetane number of 48 has reserve capacity of 16.41 days, slightly above the national minimum of 16.3 days.
Pertamina Dex with CN 53 has reserve capacity of 46.05 days, significantly above the minimum threshold of 24.9 days.
Aviation fuel (Avtur) has reserve capacity of 38.15 days, exceeding the national minimum of 26 days.
Kerosene reserves stand at 23.15 days, higher than the national minimum of 11.4 days.
Bahlil assessed that these conditions demonstrate that national energy supply remains secure.
“Reserves for the festive holiday for all fuels and liquefied petroleum gas are, God willing, secure, sir,” said Bahlil.
