Bahlil Mourns Nus Kei's Death, Calls for Thorough Investigation of Stabbing Case
Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia conveyed his condolences over the stabbing case that resulted in the death of Agrapinus Rumatora, alias Nus Kei, the Chairman of the DPD II of the Golkar Party in Southeast Maluku, at Karel Sadsuitubun Ibra Airport, Southeast Maluku. Bahlil prayed that the deceased would be placed in the best place by God. “Yes, we share in the grief over the passing of the Chairman of Golkar’s Southeast Maluku DPD. My brother, Mr Nus, and may he be accepted at the side of Allah SWT,” Bahlil said at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (20/4/2026). Bahlil requested Golkar Secretary-General M Sarmuji to provide assistance in the legal process for this case. He emphasised that the stabbing of Nus Kei should be investigated thoroughly. “And the DPP Golkar has been instructed by me to the Secretary-General to accompany and carry out the process to completion. We entrust it to the law enforcement authorities, but the DPP Golkar has requested that this be investigated thoroughly and resolved fairly,” he stated. It is known that the two stabbing perpetrators of Nus Kei, initials HR (28) and FU (36), have been transferred to Maluku Police Headquarters in Ambon City. The perpetrators were moved from Southeast Maluku for security reasons. “The two stabbing perpetrators who killed Nus Kei have been transferred to Ambon for further examination,” said the Head of Public Relations of Maluku Police, Commissioner Rositah Umasugi, as reported by detikSulsel on Monday (20/4). The incident occurred at Karel Sadsuitubun Ibra Airport, Kei Kecil Subdistrict, on Sunday (19/4) around 11.25 WIT. At that time, Nus Kei had just landed after an air journey from Jakarta. “The occurrence of the criminal act of stabbing that resulted in the death of the Chairman of the DPC of the Golkar Party in Southeast Maluku Regency, Agrapinus Rumatora alias Nus Kei,” said Commissioner Rositah Umasugi to detikcom. The victim was then evacuated to Karel Sadsuitubun Hospital around 12.00 WIT. The victim received medical treatment before being declared dead. “He was treated at the hospital, but the medical team declared the victim dead due to the injuries sustained,” she explained.
