Bahlil Lahadalia 'Only Laughing' at viral ' Mas Bahlil Ganteng' song

Golkar Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia is reported to have laughed in response to the viral ‘Mas Bahlil Ganteng’ (MBG) social media song.

’ Therefore, Chairman Bahl just laughs at such things, appreciates this creativity and we certainly shouldn’t get angry,’ said Golk Deputy Chairman Idrus Marham.

Idrus stated the MBG song is a form of Indonesian creativity.

He added that Golkar has no right to restrict public creativity.

’ The important thing is not to link it to sensitive issues like racism. There are其他 things, so why bother,’ he said.

The MBG song has gone viral on Instagram and TikTok, featuring lyrics: ‘MBG: Mas Bahlil Ganteng, what fruit is sweetest, Bahlil, get handsomer, my little bolu ketan’.

The lyrics are a compilation of netizens’ comments on Bahlil on social media.

Separately, Golkar Secretary-General Muhammad Sarmuji commented that the party is not bothered by the song’s viral popularity.

He described the song targeting the chairman as entertaining.

Similar to Idrus, Sarmuji said the song reflects netizens’ creativity.

Sarmuji stated that the public appreciates Bahlil’s efforts in securing fuel stocks amid global energy uncertainty.

’ It’s just netizens’ creativity because they appreciate Chairman Bahlil’s hard work in securing fuel stocks amid global energy volatility and preventing subsidised fuel prices from rising,’ he said.
