Bahlil: Golkar Provides Legal Assistance in Nus Kei Case
Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia has expressed condolences over the death of Agrapinus Rumatora, alias Nus Kei, at Karel Sadsuitubun Airport, Maluku, on Sunday, 19 April 2026. According to Bahlil, he has instructed Golkar Secretary General Muhammad Sarmuji to provide legal assistance to the family of the deceased. “I have asked the Golkar Central Executive Board to assist in carrying out the process to completion,” said the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources at the DPR Complex, Jakarta, on Monday, 20 April 2026. Nus Kei was the Chairman of the Golkar Regional Representative Council for Southeast Maluku. He was stabbed by unknown individuals at the airport exit upon his arrival from Jakarta. Bahlil entrusts the police to investigate the motive behind the criminal act. He hopes that the late Nus Kei will be accepted by the Almighty God. “We leave it to the law enforcement authorities, but the DPP Golkar has requested that this be investigated thoroughly and resolved properly,” he said. The Southeast Maluku Police Resort has arrested two individuals suspected of stabbing Nus Kei at the exit of Karel Sadsuitubun Airport. Head of Public Relations of Maluku Police, Commissioner Rositah Umasugi, stated that the arrests were made two hours after the incident. “Both are initialled HR (28) and FU (36),” said Rositah, revealing the identities of the suspected perpetrators as quoted from Antara. She explained that the perpetrators stabbed the victim with a knife around 11:25 WIT. The suspected perpetrators immediately fled after the incident. Currently, investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Southeast Maluku Police Resort are still investigating the motive for the murder. Maluku Police assure that developments in handling the case will be communicated periodically to the public.
