Bahlil expresses condolences over the death of Golkar Southeast Maluku Chairman Nus Kei
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, has expressed condolences over the death of the Chairman of the Golkar Party’s Southeast Maluku Regional Leadership Council II, Agrapinus Rumatora, alias Nus Kei, due to a stabbing incident.
“We share in the grief over the passing of the Chairman of Golkar Southeast Maluku. My brother, Mr Nus, may he be accepted by Allah SWT,” Bahlil said while attending an event at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Monday.
He stated that he has asked the Secretary General of the Golkar Party’s Central Executive Board, Muhammad Sarmuji, to accompany the relevant parties to ensure the legal process is carried out to completion.
“We leave it to the law enforcement authorities, but the Central Executive Board of Golkar has requested that this be investigated thoroughly and resolved carefully,” said the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Previously, the Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council II of the Golkar Party in Southeast Maluku, Agrapinus Rumatora, alias Nus Kei, was stabbed at the exit of Karel Sadsuitubun Airport on Sunday (19/4).
Police stated that the stabbing occurred around 11.25 WIT, right at the airport exit as the victim had just arrived from Jakarta.
The victim was rushed to Karel Sadsuitubun Hospital by family members around 12.00 WIT, but his life could not be saved due to the serious wounds he sustained.
Police eventually succeeded in arresting two individuals suspected of carrying out the stabbing of Nus Kei approximately two hours after the incident. The two suspects are identified by the initials HR (28) and FU (36).
