Bahlil Ensures No Price Increase for Pertalite and Biosolar Fuels
JAKARTA - The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, has assured that subsidised fuel oil (BBM) prices will not increase, even as global crude oil prices fluctuate. Consequently, the price of Pertalite remains at Rp 10,000 per litre, while Biosolar stays at Rp 6,800 per litre. “The government, following the President’s directives and the meeting outcomes, has decided that there will be no adjustment to the prices of subsidised BBM, neither an increase nor a decrease; it means they remain flat at the current levels,” he stated during an online press conference from Seoul, South Korea, on Tuesday (31/3/2026). “This is still under discussion until the time is right. So, what does that mean? There is no price adjustment yet. It remains the same,” he added. According to him, amid the rapid dynamics of global oil price fluctuations, the government will continue more intensive studies to adjust policies in line with global developments. However, Bahlil assured that the government prioritises the interests of the people, especially the underprivileged groups, by maintaining the stability of subsidised BBM prices. “The President always pays attention to the interests of the people below. Especially to our less fortunate brothers and sisters, they must receive more attention in order to formulate policies so that everything can run well,” said Bahlil.
