Bahlil Curious About Creator of 'My Little Bolu Ketan' Song, Wants to Invite Them for a Meal
Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia has expressed curiosity about the creator of the song ‘My Little Bolu Ketan’ and wishes to invite them for a meal. The song ‘Little Bolu Ketan’ went viral on social media due to its unique lyrics that mention Bahlil. One popular verse is ‘MBG Mas Bahlil Ganteng / what fruit is the sweetest? Lil fruit.’ The song was discussed between Raffi Ahmad, the Presidential Special Envoy for Youth and Arts Development and a popular presenter, and Bahlil. Their conversation was later uploaded to the Instagram account @raffinagita1717. ‘If the person is willing, I will invite them for a chat and a meal. I’m curious too. I’m currently on pilgrimage but hear the song every morning. My child even laughs at me,’ Bahlil said when asked by Raffi about his reaction to the song. In the recording, Raffi stated that their previous content had been viewed by 12 million users amid the song’s viral popularity, often referred to as ‘MBG Mas Bahlil Ganteng’. Further, Raffi mentioned that many netizens had asked him to inquire about the song with Bahlil. ‘Yesterday, my brother advised me that the post has been viewed by 12 million people on my Instagram. Many have messaged me, ’Ask Pak Bahlil how it feels to have the MBG song made for him’,’ Raffi said. Meanwhile, Bahlil responded by addressing creativity, but added that it must be accompanied by responsibility. ‘I appreciate people’s creativity, especially the younger generation and friends. But my suggestion is that in this democratic era, social media is important, yet it should be used responsibly. For example, it must not cross into SARA,’ Bahlil said. ‘Creativity should be appreciated as long as it stays within the right framework. As a public official, one must accept all consequences,’ he added. In another post, Bahlil reminded Raffi to find the song’s creator, who has made his name go viral on social media. ‘Hey Fi, don’t forget. Please find the creator of the MBG song; we should properly acknowledge them. I’m also surprised, so please help me,’ Bahlil said.
