Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia conveyed several important points regarding energy sector policies. Bahlil emphasised that there will be no price adjustments for subsidised fuels. “There are no price adjustments for subsidised fuels, neither increases nor decreases. This means they remain flat, still using the current prices,” Bahlil stated during a virtual press conference on the government’s policies in response to the global geopolitical situation on Tuesday (31/3/2026). Meanwhile, for non-subsidised fuels, Bahlil said that the Ministry of ESDM, along with Pertamina’s team and other private fuel stations, are still discussing the matter. He mentioned that the results will soon be conveyed to the public. “When will it be? Wait a bit. What does that mean? There are no price adjustments yet. They remain the same,” Bahlil added. Therefore, Bahlil asked the entire public to wait for official information from the government. He also urged the public to be wiser in digesting circulating information. “I ask that we must also be smarter in managing information. What is the goal? So that we remain stable,” Bahlil said. Bahlil added that current fuel reserves are above the national minimum standards, for diesel, petrol, gas, avtur, and LPG. “This means, even though we know all the geopolitical tensions whose end we do not yet know, and several other countries have implemented various policies for efficiency, we are grateful to Allah SWT for the guidance and direction from the President, our fuel reserves are all above the national minimum standards,” Bahlil stated.
