Bahlil Appoints Four New Officials at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia inaugurated four new officials within the Ministry of ESDM on Wednesday (5/8/2026). The ceremony took place at the Chairul Saleh Building, Secretariat General Office of the Ministry of ESDM, Jakarta.
The appointed officials are for the positions of Head of the Geological Agency, Head of the Aceh Oil and Gas Management Agency (BPMA), Head of the Oil and Gas Testing Centre (LEMIGAS), and Expert Staff to the Minister for Institutional Relations.
According to Bahlil, the appointments are expected to support the performance of the Ministry of ESDM. He specifically advised the new Head of the Geological Agency to ensure that data sources concerning Indonesia’s natural resource wealth are managed properly.
“Secondly, I also inaugurated the expert staff for economic affairs because it is very important that the direction of state policy through the Ministry of ESDM is properly assessed for its direct economic impact on the people,” Bahlil said after the inauguration ceremony at the Ministry of ESDM building, Jakarta, Wednesday (5/8/2026).
Bahlil also inaugurated the Head of LEMIGAS, who now carries the mandate to handle the procurement of national oil and gas supplies. “We know that LEMIGAS has received a mandate from the government, under the direction of the President, to carry out the procurement of oil and gas, both crude and LPG, in the national interest,” he added.
The list of the four newly inaugurated officials is as follows:
Lana Saria as Head of the Geological Agency
Mawardi Nur as Head of the Aceh Oil and Gas Management Agency (BPMA)
Muhammad Ikhsan Kiat as Head of the Oil and Gas Testing Centre (LEMIGAS)
Tirta Nugraha Mursitama as Expert Staff to the Minister of ESDM for Institutional Relations.
