Bahlil and Rosan to Receive State Honours from Prabowo for B50 Biodiesel Programme
President Prabowo Subianto will confer state honours upon several officials deemed instrumental in the realisation of the mandatory B50 biodiesel programme. The officials include Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani, and President Director of Pertamina Simon Aloysius Mantiri, among others involved. During the launch of the Mandatory B50 Biodiesel Programme at KM 57 Rest Area in Karawang, West Java, on Thursday, 9 July 2026, the President requested Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi to prepare the names of those who contributed to the B50 achievement for the honour. “Later, State Secretary, I ask for the names, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, the President Director of Pertamina, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Mr Rosan, and other officials. I request the names of those who contributed to the process of achieving B50. I want to give them a state honour, a star of service,” Prabowo stated. The President said the award is a form of appreciation for their work, service, and the results achieved for the nation and state through the realisation of the B50 programme. He emphasised that the success of implementing B50 is a major result for the nation, state, and people of Indonesia. On the same occasion, the President declared that Indonesia has officially become the first country in the world to implement a mandatory B50 biodiesel blend. He assessed that the implementation of the B50 mandate is not merely a technological achievement but also demonstrates Indonesia’s capability to utilise its own natural resources for the benefit of the people. The Mandatory B50 Programme is part of the government’s strategy to reduce dependence on imported fuel, increase the added value of national natural resources, and strengthen Indonesia’s energy and economic resilience.
