The working visit is a continuation of the partnership between the two countries, in this case for Indonesia’s long-term national energy resilience.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia is accompanying the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, on a working visit to Moscow, Russian Federation, to ensure the stability of the national energy supply, particularly oil.

“This working visit is a continuation of the partnership between the two countries, in this case for Indonesia’s long-term national energy resilience,” said the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources spokesperson Dwi Anggia in her official statement, confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta on Monday.

Anggia stated that the presence of the Energy and Mineral Resources Minister in the visit reflects the important role of the energy sector in supporting national interests amid global dynamics.

She assessed that this meeting momentum also opens opportunities to expand more concrete collaboration prospects in the future.

President Prabowo is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin upon arrival in Moscow.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that one of the main agendas to be discussed is the continuation of energy cooperation, including efforts to ensure the stability of the national energy supply, particularly oil.

“Continuing cooperation with the Russian government and ensuring a stable national energy supply, including oil availability,” said Teddy.

He added that this discussion is relevant amid geopolitical dynamics and changes in the global energy landscape that affect the balance of energy supply and demand.

In addition to energy cooperation, the two heads of state will also exchange views on global geopolitical developments.

Indonesia will reaffirm its position in maintaining world stability and peace, while strengthening strategic partnerships with partner countries.

President Prabowo, along with a limited entourage, departed from Halim Perdanakusuma TNI AU Base, Jakarta, on Sunday (12/4) around 11:10 PM WIB using a Garuda Indonesia aircraft.

In addition to Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, others accompanying the visit include Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

The journey to Moscow takes approximately 12 hours of nonstop flight, with an estimated arrival on Monday morning local time.

Upon arrival in Moscow, President Prabowo is scheduled to hold a one-on-one meeting with President Vladimir Putin in the afternoon.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources views this visit as a strategic step in strengthening cross-country energy cooperation to support sustainable national energy resilience amid global uncertainties.
