Bag Theft at Soekarno-Hatta Airport: Perpetrator is a Cargo Operator
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) and the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police are strengthening security aspects within the airport environment. General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Heru Karyadi, stated that the Cargo Security Department and the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police successfully uncovered a suspected criminal act of theft involving Lululemon export bags.
The perpetrator of the theft was a worker from a cargo operator company and not an employee of InJourney Airports. “InJourney Airports is committed to continuously improving security, safety, and service standards at Soekarno-Hatta Airport,” said Heru in a written statement in Jakarta, Saturday (May 16, 2026).
Heru also expressed his gratitude to the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police for consistently enforcing the law within the airport area. According to him, InJourney Airports and the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police have strengthened security aspects and successfully uncovered the suspected theft committed by a worker from a cargo operator company.
“The case involves a suspected criminal act of theft of export bags, which occurred in the parking area of the Aeroville (formerly Soewarna) warehouse in the Soekarno-Hatta Airport area on Monday, April 13, 2026,” said Heru.
