The Badung Regency Government (Pemkab) has deployed 75 personnel to care for and maintain the cleanliness of dozens of heroes’ monuments scattered across Gumi Keris. In addition to routine cleaning every two days, repairs to these historic structures will also be carried out in stages.

“There are 25 monuments and heroes’ memorials in the Badung Regency area. Every year, the Badung Regency Government carries out maintenance and cleaning activities at all these monuments and heroes’ memorials by preparing 75 cleaning staff,” said the Head of the Badung Regency Social Service, I Gde Eka Sudarwitha, on Wednesday (12/8/2026).

Dozens of officers are specially stationed at the 25 locations to maintain the cleanliness of the monument areas. This measure is taken to ensure that all historical sites in Badung Regency remain in a well-maintained condition.

“Going forward, according to the leadership’s direction, maintenance and repairs will be carried out in stages as needed. This step is a form of preserving the values of heroism and the fighting spirit of the nation’s founders,” Eka stated.

This maintenance programme is focused on handling the cleanliness of the area around the memorials and the physical upkeep of the monuments. Meanwhile, the physical repairs to the buildings will be adjusted according to the level of damage and the needs of each heroes’ monument.

“Through this routine maintenance and phased repair, we want to ensure that the heroes’ monuments remain well-preserved. Their existence is very important as a reminder of history and the spirit of struggle for the community and future generations,” he said.
