Badung Extends SPMB Document Upload Period, School Quotas Locked
The Youth and Sports Education Office (Disdikpora) of Badung Regency has extended the registration and document upload period for the 2026 New Student Admission System (SPMB) for primary (SD) and junior secondary (SMP) levels. The policy was taken because many prospective students have not yet completed account creation and the uploading of required documents.
“We urge all parents or guardians to immediately complete account creation and upload documents for the 2026 SPMB. Please do not delay the process until near the final deadline,” said Head of Disdikpora Badung, I Gusti Made Dwipayana, on Sunday (14/6/2026).
Dwipayana asked all parents and guardians to use the additional time to complete all administrative requirements. He also reminded them that the uploaded documents must match the data held by the prospective students.
“Let us together ensure that this entire selection process for prospective students can be followed properly. Remember to complete the files correctly, ensure data accuracy, and do not forget to upload documents according to the Central Indonesian Time schedule,” said Dwipayana.
Disdikpora Badung has also instructed all heads of Group B kindergartens, primary school heads, and relevant education units to actively monitor registration progress. Schools are asked to assist parents so they do not encounter technical obstacles when filling in administrative data.
For the primary school level, SPMB registration is open through three pathways. The Mutation Pathway took place on 12 June 2026 from 08:00 to 15:00 WITA. Next, the Affirmation Pathway is scheduled for 22 June 2026 from 08:00 to 15:00 WITA, while the Domicile Pathway opens from 29 June to 2 July 2026 at 15:00 WITA.
Meanwhile, for the junior secondary level, the Mutation Pathway took place on 12 June 2026 from 08:00 to 15:00 WITA. The Affirmation Pathway is scheduled for 15 June 2026 from 08:00 to 15:00 WITA, the Achievement Pathway on 22 June 2026 from 08:00 to 15:00 WITA, and the Domicile Pathway on 25-26 June 2026 from 08:00 to 15:00 WITA.
Dwipayana stressed that the new student admission system in Badung continues to apply strict supervision like the previous year because the entire process is digitally integrated. He reminded the public to immediately upload documents to avoid obstacles when the main pathways open.
“The quota numbers and the number of class groups for registration have been locked directly by the ministry. So, if there is even one violation or a forced insertion of an unofficial student, automatically one school will immediately become illegitimate or invalid,” emphasised Dwipayana.
According to him, the digital system is implemented to close loopholes for fraudulent practices, including the insertion of prospective students outside official pathways. All intake capacity quotas and the number of study groups at each school have been determined by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.
“Invalid means the child is not registered at all in the National Education Basic Data or Dapodik, so the school’s status is illegitimate. This severe risk is why we remind everyone not to play games with the class group rules,” said Dwipayana.
He assessed that the consequences of invalid status are fatal, both for the student’s academic future and school operations. Students whose data is rejected by the central system will not be recognised in national data collection.
“The basic rule stipulates one study group is filled by 32 students, but specifically for dense areas like North Kuta we are given leeway with a maximum limit of up to 34 people. The central government determines this figure strictly after checking the ratio of primary school graduates to real capacity in the field,” said Dwipayana.
Regarding quota distribution, each region has a capacity limit set based on the number of graduates and the capacity of schools in the respective area. One school, for example, can be designated to have a capacity of up to 11 study groups.
“All these provisions are clearly stated in the Quota Decree and the School Study Group Decree. In the registration system, everything also appears transparently so that we hide nothing from the public,” concluded Dwipayana.
