Badung Regency’s public-order enforcement team has begun dismantling a number of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) poles at several locations. The work is due to be completed within a month, as the contracts for all the poles have expired.

“We only started today, in front of the rear gate of the Badung Government Centre. For now, we are targeting 15 poles,” Badung Public Order Agency head I Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara said on Monday (19 October 2026).

Suryanegara said the poles would be dismantled in stages. Ten BTS poles will be taken down immediately, while the remaining five have been temporarily put on hold.

“The other five were requested to be deferred by the Communications and Informatics Office because they are still in use. We will coordinate on those with the regional secretary,” Suryanegara said.

The dismantling of the network poles is expected to continue until next month. Badung’s Public Order Agency has set deadlines for work at all the locations.

“The target is one month, until mid-November,” he added.

The article states that nine poles scheduled for removal are spread across three districts: seven in Mengwi, two in Abiansemal and one in North Kuta.

“We are holding the other five while we coordinate with the Communications and Informatics Office, because they are still being used by the office for CCTV,” Suryanegara said, referring to five other poles in Kuta.
