Aceh Besar: Three GAM separatists were shot dead in a skirmish
with Army troops in Ujung Pancu district.

East Aceh: A TNI company in Cakra clashed with GAM fighters in
Seribu Hill, some 400 kilometers east of the provincial capital
of Banda Aceh. Two rebels were killed and two M-16 and AK-47
rifles were seized.

West Aceh: TNI troops were involved in a firefight with
separatists in Kuala Manyak. The number of casualties was unknown
as of Thursday afternoon.

Aceh Island: Navy marines and Army troops hunt for about 40
rebels on the island, located four nautical miles off Banda Aceh.

Aceh Jaya: Suspected GAM members burned transmission buildings of
state-telecommunications company PT Telkom in Lamno, causing
disruptions across the southeast coast of the province.
