Aceh Besar: One Army Reserve soldier, Private Muhammad Nuhi
Lubis, and two unidentified GAM rebels, were killed in a clash at
Ujung Pancu village, Peukan Bada district.

North Aceh: Army troops attacked a GAM base at Sawang district,
but found only GAM uniforms and documents and one sack of rice
but no GAM personnel.

Bireuen: Army troops clashed with three GAM rebels at Matang Pase
village, Peudada district, and managed to seize one pistol, some
ammunition and a walkie-talkie. No fatalities were reported.

A joint unit searched the house of Abu Toha, GAM police chief for
Krueng Batee area, and arrested four GAM members. It was not
clear if Abu Toha was one of the four.

West Aceh: GAM official Mustafa Hasan bin Husin, 30, from Alue
Sundak, Woyla district, surrendered to the military at Kuala
Bhee.
