Baby Found in Sancaka Train Toilet Receiving Care at Solo's Bhayangkara Hospital
A baby found in the toilet of the Sancaka 84B train is currently being cared for at Bhayangkara Hospital in Solo. Meanwhile, the police are conducting an investigation to uncover who left the baby there. Banjarsari Police Chief Kompol Harno stated that after the baby was taken off at Solo Balapan Station, his team transported the infant to Bhayangkara Hospital. “To ensure the baby’s safety and health, the infant is currently receiving intensive care at Bhayangkara Hospital Solo,” Harno said on Saturday (4/7/2026). Harno emphasised that the police are still investigating to determine who left the baby in the train toilet. A number of witnesses and CCTV recordings are being examined. “Personnel from the Solo Police Criminal Investigation Unit together with the Banjarsari Police Criminal Investigation Unit are currently carrying out a series of investigations, including processing the crime scene, examining witnesses, collecting evidence, tracing CCTV footage, and coordinating with PT KAI Operational Area 6 Yogyakarta to uncover the perpetrator,” he stressed. It was previously reported that the tiny baby was found in the toilet of the Sancaka 84B train, which was travelling from Yogyakarta to Surabaya at 07.20 WIB. The baby was then taken off at Solo Balapan Station. “Officers on board the train found a baby in the toilet of executive carriage 3. The discovery was then reported to the Service Control Centre, which immediately coordinated with Solo Balapan Station,” said Feni Novida Saragih, Public Relations Manager of KAI Operational Area 6 Yogyakarta.
