Baby drama in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Three Malaysian robbers trying to escape
pursuing police officers stole a car, taking the owner's baby
with them, according to a report on Sunday.

The Sunday Star said the trio only managed to drive a short
distance before crashing, and being arrested. The eight-month-old
baby escaped injury, it added.

The three, aged between 22 and 28, were members of a gang of
12 which earlier robbed a warehouse in the southern state of
Negri Sembilan.

Kamarulzaman Itam, the state's criminal police chief, was
quoted as saying the boy's mother, Fan Lee Hung, 21, had left the
car engine running. He added police had identified the other
suspects and expected to arrest them soon.
