Babel Berintegritas initiative promotes corruption-free work culture for civil servants

The Bangka Belitung Provincial Government has declared the ‘Babel Berintegritas’ movement to strengthen a clean bureaucracy and improve the quality of public services provided to the community.

“This declaration is an important momentum to strengthen the commitment of all civil servants in performing their duties and providing the best service to the public,” said the Governor of Bangka Belitung, Hidayat Arsani, represented by the Acting Regional Secretary of Babel, Fery Afriyanto, while leading the Babel Berintegritas Declaration in Pangkalpinang on Thursday.

The declaration, themed “Clean in Serving, Trustworthy in Devotion, Without Corruption,” was recited by all civil servants (ASN) and government employees with work agreements (PPPK) within the Bangka Belitung Provincial Government environment during the weekly flag ceremony.

According to Fery, this commitment aligns with the local government’s efforts to strengthen good governance.

“This commitment is in line with the efforts we have been building to strengthen good governance,” he stated.

Fery noted that the Bangka Belitung Provincial Government’s commitment to corruption prevention efforts has received recognition from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The provincial government was ranked second among the best provincial governments nationally for its efforts in corruption prevention through its commitment to strengthening good governance.

“This award is certainly not the end of the struggle, but rather serves as an encouragement and a responsibility for all of us to continue to maintain and increase that commitment,” he said.

“Integrity is the fundamental basis of every step of public service we provide to the community. Therefore, civil servants must uphold honesty, work trustworthily, and ensure there is no room for corrupt practices within the government environment,” Fery added.
