BA, Qantas have joint manager

JAKARTA (JP): British Airways and Qantas of Australia announced on Thursday the appointment of Claire Hatton as their Indonesia joint manager.

They said in a joint statement that Hatton, currently British Airways' Indonesia manager, would take up the new position on Dec. 1.

She will succeed Rick Coyle who in mid-December is due to return to the Qantas corporate office in Sydney.

Qantas commercial manager Geoff Dixon said the joint country manager appointment "would strengthen an already successful alliance partnership in Indonesia".

To improve the alliance's workings, the two airlines also plan to colocate their respective offices in Jakarta. (rid)
