BA clarifies

We would like to refer the article which appeared in The Jakarta Post on Sunday, Aug. 30, Chipmunk roams free on BA flight, and wish to clarify the issue.

Investigation on this case has begun in Hong Kong as to why the animal was not detected by airport authorities at the normal departure screening checks, and we will provide you with findings once produced.

Every airline has a standard procedure that animals must be placed in the cargo hold and are not allowed to be carried in hand luggage. This regulation is imposed on all passengers to ensure safety of the flight.
