B50 Biodiesel Era Begins, Government Strengthens National Energy Security

President Prabowo Subianto inspected the fuelling of vehicles with B50 Biodiesel at the KM 57A Rest Area petrol station on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road, West Java, on Thursday (9/7/2026). The government officially launched B50 Biodiesel as a measure to strengthen energy self-sufficiency and reduce dependence on imported fuel. The government has conducted comprehensive testing of B50 across six diesel engine user sectors: automotive, agricultural machinery, heavy mining equipment, marine transport, power generation, and railways.
