Ayuningrum wins downhill cycling

JAKARTA (JP): National female cyclist Ayuningrum won the
downhill event of the mountainous Karangkates Terbuka cycling
races in Malang, East Java, on Sunday.

Ayuningrum clocked one minute 54.43 seconds and Resa Susanty
came second a few seconds later. Resa came third in the cross
country in one hour 45 minutes and 17.8 seconds.

Japan, one of six other countries taking part, took the
overall championship title with its men and women capturing the
hill climb and cross country races. (lnt)
