Ayu Ting Ting Expresses Desire to Perform Hajj, Inspired by Her Father
Dangdut singer Ayu Ting Ting has expressed her desire to perform the Hajj pilgrimage to the Holy Land amidst the busy celebrations of Eid al-Adha. This aspiration is one of her major dreams after seeing her father, Abdul Rozak, who has already attained the status of a haji.
Ayu Ting Ting acknowledges that fulfilling the fifth pillar of Islam requires thorough preparation, not just financial capability. For her, mental readiness and physical fitness are crucial factors to consider before deciding to embark on the journey.
“Oh yeah, of course. I really want to, but Hajj requires being fully prepared, right? Mentally, physically, and other aspects. So, God willing, pray for me,” Ayu Ting Ting said during an interview at her residence in Depok, West Java (Jabar), Wednesday (27/5/2026).
Although her intention to go on Hajj is strong, the mother of one admitted she has not yet registered. Given Indonesia’s years-long Hajj waiting list, she has requested prayers for ease in the process in the future.
“I haven’t registered yet, so please pray for me,” said the singer of ‘Sambalado’.
For Ayu Ting Ting, every major step in her life, including religious obligations, should not be rushed without firm conviction. She chooses to surrender to fate and God’s plan while continuously improving herself and gathering the necessary preparations.
“Pray for the best, I can’t say anything else. Don’t try to anticipate God’s plan, I’ve said it before. Don’t be overconfident, just pray for the best,” Ayu Ting Ting explained.
