Ayatollah Khamenei: Israel Has Suffered Defeat and Is Now Attempting to Incite the Iranian People

The leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, stated that Israel has suffered a profound defeat and humiliation in recent military confrontations. He asserted that Zionist attacks on Iran have instead resulted in the international isolation of Israel.

These remarks were made by Mojtaba Khamenei in a message released on Thursday (4/6/2026) to commemorate Eid al-Adha, the 37th anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini, and the anniversary of the commencement of the leadership of the late Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Mojtaba stated that the Israeli regime and its supporters, having experienced setbacks in military confrontations, have shifted towards efforts aimed at weakening the public resilience of Iran.

“Their primary weapons include spreading doubt, fear, despair, mistrust, and division within society,” he warned.

Mojtaba Khamenei called upon the Iranian people to resist these efforts through unity, vigilance, mutual trust, and national solidarity. He also emphasised that officials bear a significant responsibility to strengthen public trust and prevent actions that could lead to social disappointment or dissatisfaction.
