Ayam Merak's promotion

Each pack of Ayam Merak coffee I buy from my neighborhood
warung states: "Exchange three signed wrappers of this product
for one box of Megah instant noodles". But in reality, the
promotion is nonsense. It is impossible to make the exchange. My
warung never gets an allocation of Megah instant noodles
(presents from the distributor).

This is my second disappointment after an experience in 1996
when Ayam Merak had a similar promotional drive, with glasses and
bowls as presents. Then, the distributor never gave the goods to
my neighborhood warung.

I have been buying Ayam Merak coffee for decades and have
never changed brands. It is regrettable that Ayam Merak has to
disappoint its many customers. But the company is perhaps afraid
of its competitors so it feels it needs this kind of promotion.

Ayam Merak should trust customers such as me. As long as it
does not change the quality of the product (although the price
may continuously increase) I will never resort to other brands of
coffee. It should not launch promotional drives without meeting
its obligation. The problem is not the economic value of the
presents offered but the aspect of deception at the cost of
consumers. I appeal to the Ayam Merak company to pay attention to
this matter.
