Aware of KPK Surveillance, Kuansing Regent Sells Land Cruiser from Bribe
The KPK has revealed that Kuansing Regent Suhardiman Amby attempted to conceal a Toyota Land Cruiser given to him by Kuansing Regional Secretary Zulkarnain. The vehicle was sold because Suhardiman felt he was being monitored by the KPK.
Regarding the Toyota Land Cruiser SUV, the KPK team received information that certain parties were trying to make it disappear. There was a gap while searching for the individual and the evidence, as parties attempted to eliminate or hide its whereabouts by selling it to a showroom owned by a private party, SW (Suwito). This was allegedly because SA (Suhardiman Amby) knew he was being monitored by the KPK team, said Acting Director of KPK Investigations Achmad Taufik Husein during a press conference on Wednesday (1/6/2026).
He did not elaborate on how Suhardiman learned he was under KPK surveillance. Taufik stated that Suwito was also one of the individuals detained during the sting operation (OTT) on Monday (29/6).
Suwito was among five people brought to the KPK building following the OTT in Kuansing. He mentioned that the KPK had seized evidence of the instalment payment transactions for the Toyota Land Cruiser.
Electronic evidence in the form of instalment payment transactions for the purchase of a Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR-S SUV, which was used as an instrument of bribery by ZKN to SA, he said.
The KPK has named three individuals as suspects. The list is as follows:
Suhardiman Amby, Regent of Kuansing
Zulkarnain, Regional Secretary of Kuansing
Ardiles, President Director of PT MIC.
