Avtur Prices Surge to Rp 22-25 Thousand Per Litre

Avtur prices at all airports in Indonesia have increased due to geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East. According to data from PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, avtur prices have jumped from Rp 13,656.51 – 15,737.82 per litre in March 2026 to Rp 22,707.92 - 25,632.39 per litre in April 2026. “The price is Rp 22,707.92 per litre at Hang Nadim Airport, Batam,” quoted from the avtur price document on Pertamina’s official website, Wednesday, 1 April 2026. Previously, the avtur price at Hang Nadim was Rp 13,791.25 per litre in March 2026, then this month it experienced a 64.66% increase. That price is based on domestic flight price into plane/not into plane which already includes Value Added Tax (VAT) and other government taxes. Then the highest avtur price this month is among others at Pattimura Airport in Ambon, Douw Ataturung in Nabire, Karel Sadsuitubun in Tual, at Rp 25,632.39 per litre. That price rose 62.44% from previously Rp 15,780.24 per litre. At Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, the avtur price this month rose 72.45% from previously Rp 13,656.51 to Rp 23,551.08 per litre. Then at I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Bali, it also rose from Rp 15,448.44 to Rp 25,343.01 per litre or an increase of 64.05%. Avtur prices for international flights at Hang Nadim also rose from US$ 83 cents to US$ 142.60 cents per litre. Then at Pattimura from US$ 85.20 cents to US$ 144.80 cents per litre, at Soekarno-Hatta from US$ 74.20 cents to US$ 133.80 cents per litre, at I Gusti Ngurah Rai from US$ 84 cents to US$ 143.50 cents per litre. The Indonesia National Air Carriers Association (INACA) previously requested the government to raise the upper fare limits and fuel surcharge by 15% due to the surge in global oil prices impacting avtur. In addition, it is also because the rupiah exchange rate has been weakening since the upper fare limits were set in 2019. The association also requested that the government provide stimuli for the continuity of flight operations.
