JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The increase in fuel prices, particularly avtur, is beginning to pressure the logistics sector. FedEx has not yet raised its service tariffs and is still assessing the impact.

Senior Manager Operations at FedEx, Ida Ayu Eka Restini, said the company is still monitoring developments in energy prices. An evaluation is being conducted before making any decisions.

“With the current increase in oil and avtur prices, we are still monitoring whether it will impact logistics costs or not. At the moment, we are still collecting data,” she stated in Jakarta on Monday evening (13/4/2026).

“We have our own aircraft, so from a cost perspective, it can be better controlled. We can also better predict what the future impact will be,” she explained.

FedEx has not set any tariff adjustments. Information will be provided if there are any changes.

“If there is a change in costs, we will definitely inform our customers first. But at the moment, there is no adjustment,” she emphasised.

Data from Soekarno-Hatta Airport shows a sharp surge in domestic avtur prices. The price rose from Rp 13,656.51 per litre in March 2026 to Rp 23,551.08 per litre in April 2026. The increase amounts to 72.45 per cent.

Compared to 2019, the surge is even higher. Domestic avtur prices at that time were Rp 7,970 per litre. The increase to date reaches 295 per cent.
