Avoid Scams: Recognise Official Bank Woori Saudara Call Centre Numbers
Fraudulent methods impersonating banking institutions are becoming increasingly diverse. One such method involves using fake call centre numbers to obtain customers’ personal data and banking information.
These fake numbers are often listed on websites, social media accounts, advertisements, posts, or comment sections, making internet search results appear as official services at first glance. Perpetrators may also use the bank’s name, logo, and visual identity to convince potential victims.
Rifqi Ramadhan, Partnership and Retail Investor Specialist at Henan Putihrai Sekuritas, stated that the public should not immediately assume that numbers appearing on the internet are the official contact details of a bank. Digital criminals can create counterfeit websites or social media accounts and spread fake numbers through various channels to ensure they are easily found by potential victims.
“Customers need to perform cross-verification through the bank’s official websites and channels. Never provide PINs, passwords, OTPs, CVVs, or other confidential information to anyone claiming to be a bank official, even if they possess some of the customer’s personal data,” said Rifqi, as quoted in a written statement on Monday (14/09/2026).
According to him, another warning sign to watch out for is urgent-sounding communication. Perpetrators typically induce panic by claiming there are suspicious transactions, account blocks, or data updates that must be completed immediately. Similar methods may also involve the lure of prizes or refunds.
Amidst the rise of such methods, Bank Woori Saudara (BWS) reminds customers to ensure that all information and communication truly originate from official channels. BWS services can be accessed via BWS Call 1500-012 and email [email protected]. Official information regarding BWS products and services is also available through their official website.
Customers are advised not to directly contact customer service numbers found via websites, social media, advertisements, or posts from unverified sources. Customers should also avoid suspicious links, applications from unofficial sources, requests for mobile screen sharing, and transfer instructions from unknown parties.
Education regarding official communication channels is part of BWS’s efforts to increase customer awareness and security. If suspicious communication or numbers impersonating BWS are encountered, customers are urged to cease interaction, save evidence, and immediately confirm the matter through the company’s official channels.
“When receiving information that causes panic or requests confidential data, do not rush to follow instructions. Stop the communication and contact the bank via the number listed on its official channels,” said Rifqi.
