Average Price of Best-Selling Cars in Indonesia Revealed
Jakarta, VIVA – The national automotive market opened 2026 with its best-selling model composition dominated by the family and commercial vehicle segments. Retail sales data for January showed that a number of popular models remain the primary choice for consumers, both in terms of functionality and investment value.
Overall, based on a VIVA Otomotif compilation of data from individual brands on Monday 16 February 2026, the average price of the ten best-selling cars in Indonesia currently stands at approximately Rp264 million.
The Toyota Kijang Innova, combining Zenix and Reborn variants, held firm in first place with distribution of 5,401 units to consumers. The Innova Reborn Diesel G-type is marketed from Rp417 million on-the-road Jakarta, whilst the Innova Zenix is priced between Rp437 million and Rp632 million for the top Hybrid variant.
In second place, the Daihatsu Gran Max Pick-Up recorded 4,925 units as a principal workhorse for the small and medium enterprise sector. This commercial vehicle is marketed at a competitive price range, starting from approximately Rp163 million up to Rp182 million for the highest variant.
The Honda Brio, through its Satya and RS variants, occupied third place with total sales of 3,672 units during January. The LCGC Honda Brio Satya variant is now priced from Rp170 million, whilst the Honda Brio RS type is marketed at a price range of up to Rp253 million.
A surprise came from the BYD Atto 1, which burst straight into fourth position with sales of 3,361 units at the start of the year. This electric vehicle is marketed at a highly aggressive price point, ranging from Rp199 million to Rp235 million to attract new buyers.
The Toyota Avanza maintained its status as a favourite family car, recording sales of 3,236 units. The model’s price remains in a stable range, from Rp243 million up to Rp300 million for the highest variant with comprehensive safety features.
The Daihatsu Sigra occupied sixth position with 2,610 units recorded, reinforcing its dominance in the most economical seven-seater family car segment. The New Sigra model remains a highly competitive choice for consumers, priced from Rp143 million.
The Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross recorded a combined total of 2,594 units and continue to be strong competitors in the modern MPV segment. The model is offered to consumers at a price range starting from Rp263 million up to Rp350 million for the Cross variant.
