Authority states IKN development is planned in detail and measured
Penajam Paser Utara (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) states that the development of IKN in parts of Penajam Paser Utara Regency and Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province, is planned in detail.
“IKN development is planned in detail, measured, and controlled consistently,” said Special Staff to the Head of the OIKN for Policy Management and Construction Strategy, Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, on Thursday, when asked about the development process of Indonesia’s prospective capital in Sepaku, Penajam Paser Utara.
IKN development is not carried out haphazardly, he continued; the entire process is designed in layers, starting from the master plan, presidential regulations, detailed spatial planning (RDTR), to area development controlled with measurable targets.
“Cross-sector collaboration is carried out so that IKN development can proceed according to the set time targets and quality,” he explained.
“Principles of green buildings, smart buildings, integrated infrastructure, to community involvement in the development process are implemented,” he added.
Furthermore, IKN is projected to become a new economic growth centre that is expected to reduce development disparities between western and eastern Indonesia while also reducing the burden on Jakarta.
“The IKN development concept is also prepared with a future city approach,” he said.
Supporting projects, such as toll roads, dams, energy networks, telecommunications, to drinking water systems, continue to be accelerated to support IKN, said Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga.
