Australian team to C. Java

JAKARTA (JP): Around 41 businessmen from Queensland, Australia, will visit Central Java from June 23 to June 27 to explore a business opportunities in trade and investment with local companies, a report says.

The business mission, to be led by Governor of Queensland Leenan Ford and Mayor of Brisbane City, Jim Soorley would likely be interested in textile, plastic, electronic industries, various agricultural sector, and education and consultancy fields, said Hartono of the investment coordinating board of Central Java, in Semarang yesterday.

"During the five-day visit to the province, the Australian mission will meet with local companies in the special business seminars and individual talks to explore a cooperation of various business in the province," he said as quoted by Antara news agency.(fhp)
