A number of Australian technology scaleups are presenting climate and sustainable technology solutions to support Indonesia’s goal of reaching net zero by 2060 at the Global Sustainable Development Congress 2026 in Jakarta this week. The companies bring expertise in carbon accounting and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting, biodiversity knowledge, supply chain monitoring and optimisation, and climate-oriented payment systems.

“Australia and Indonesia are close neighbours, friends, and partners, and the green energy transition is now a priority for both countries. Under Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy and through KINETIK, the Australia-Indonesia Climate and Infrastructure Partnership, we have built a solid foundation for long-term cooperation,” said Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Rod Brazier.

During their time in Indonesia, the seven Australian technology scaleups are exploring partnership opportunities for sustainable growth and the transition to net zero. Australia’s robust ESG standards and established expertise in carbon accounting, natural capital markets, and sustainability-based financing will strengthen efforts to realise these targets.

Through Austrade’s Landing Pad programme, Australia is aligning its capabilities and expertise with Indonesia’s national priorities to accelerate the sustainability transition. “Australian technology scaleups are ready to respond to growing commercial opportunities with applicable and market-ready solutions,” said Catherine Gallagher, Head of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission for Southeast Asia.

This group of climate and sustainability technology companies represents Austrade’s fourth Landing Pad programme in Indonesia. The Landing Pad programme assists Australian technology and mid-sized companies to expand internationally through market advice, on-the-ground experience, connections with potential customers, partners, regulators, and system integrators, as well as support to develop and validate market entry strategies.
