Australian, Dutchmen deported
JAKARTA: Immigration officials announced yesterday they would
deport Australian Rodney Neil Shields and Dutchmen Raymond
Jurgens and Giovanni Fransesco today, for abusing their limited
stay permits (KITAS).
According to Zaiman Nurmatias, Director for Control and Action
at the Immigration office, the three foreigners were in violation
of Article 50 of Immigration Law No. 9/1992 because they were
working in positions not allowed by their permits.
Raymond Jurgens KITAS permit designated him a technical
advisor but was actually working as a general manager, he said.
All three men have been working at PT. Crown Pacific Jaya in
Cilandak, South Jakarta.
The three will be deported on flight SQ159 to Singapore at
5:00 p.m. today. (mds)
